Jessica Thompson, Ed.D.

Dr. Jessica Thompson has worked in the field of education since 1999 and has developed a love of learning and sharing knowledge with her students. She is a lecturer in the University of West Georgia’s Educational Technology and Foundations Department and works with both the School Library Media program and the Instructional Technology program. She is interested in how the self-efficacy of school librarians affects student learning. She loves all things school library related. She is a member of AECT, GLMA, GAIT, ISTE, ALA, AASL, VAASL, and GLMA. Jessica authored the 2021 Knowledge Quest article "Cultivating Our Self-Efficacy as School Librarians", co-authored the 2021 School Library Research article “School Librarians’ Teacher Self-Efficacy: A Predictor of Reading Scores?” and authored the 2015 School Library Connection article “Ladies and Fairies and Cats, Oh,My!: Innovative Library Promotion.”
