Hall Council

Each residential community at UWG has a hall council with elected officers. The goal of the hall council is to provide social programming, respond to community concerns, and make recommendations to improve the hall. Contact your hall director or residence life coordinator to join today.

Resident Assistant (RA)

  • RAs are responsible for creating and maintaining a residence hall environment that is conducive to living and learning. They serve as a community developer by planning events, building relationships, and assisting residents with their concerns.

Residential Students Together Assisting Residents (ResSTAR)

  • ResSTAR employees assist residents with issues such as lockouts, noise complaints, and maintenance concerns. They connect residents with the right resources to ensure residents receive the correct information.

Housing Student Assistant

  • Assisting Housing staff members in the office
  • Assisting with HARC
  • Members of the Red and Blue Crew (event logistics)
  • Greeting all visitors at the front desk of the Housing and Residence Life Department

Residence Hall Association (RHA)

  • RHA acts in an advisory capacity for residence life, plans activities campus-wide, raises funds for charitable causes, and travels to regional collegiate leadership conferences.

 Ambassador Scholarship Program

  • The Office of Housing and Residence Life is committed to providing an engaged and supportive living and learning community through on-campus living. UWG’s Housing Ambassador Scholarship Program is a competitive merit scholarship program designed to recognize exemplary academic success in varying amounts towards a student's housing costs up to $5,000. Scholarship criteria include a high school academic GPA of 3.5 (calculated by the Office of Admissions), SAT Critical Reading score of 550 minimum or ACT English score of 24, SAT Math score of 550 minimum or ACT Math score of 2), and a desire to become involved in student leadership opportunities within the Office of Housing & Residence Life or campus organizations and community service activities while at UWG. The following are the 4 main scholarships offered::
