Professor: Painting & Foundations-Drawing
Eilis Crean is Professor of Art in the Department of Art University of West Georgia, and currently teaching all levels of painting. She received a Diploma in Sculpture in 1980 and Certificate in Teaching in 1981 from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland; and her MFA in Drawing Painting and Printmaking from Georgia State University in 2001. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections including the LaGrange Museum of Art, GA; the State Collections of Ireland, France and Latvia; the Figgis Collection, Ireland; and King and Spalding, Atlanta, GA USA. She has exhibited nationally and internationally in such places as the Gallagher Gallery, Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin; Heron School of Art, Indianapolis; the Red Line Contemporary Art Center, Denver; The Visual, Carlow, Ireland; Dalton Gallery, Agnes Scott College, Atlanta; Conrad Wilde Gallery, Tucson, AZ; Wichita Center for the Arts; Mazur Museum of Art Louisiana; the Hambidge Center, GA. Her practice is based in Georgia, USA, and Ireland.
