What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of European Union data privacy rules that took effect in May of 2018.  The USG Office of Legal Affairs has directed that USG instituions become compliant with these new rules.   You can view the entire memo here:

Pursuant to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), UWG must meet certain consent and lawful basis requirements before it can collect or process personally identifiable data as defined by the regulation.
