UWG Pre-K, School Year 2020-2021 Information:
Lottery Registration Policies and Procedures - Please Read
February 7 - February 28, we will be accepting submissions for the lottery drawing for the 2020-2021 school year. To be included in the drawing you must complete a 2020-2021 Waiting List/Registration Form. Please print the form and fill it out completely, including your current email address and signature at the bottom of the form. Parent/Guardian signature is REQUIRED to be included in the lottery drawing. You may submit your completed form by mail (campus or USPS), fax, email (email@example.com), or deliver it in person to the Pre-K, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. If you email, fax, or mail your form to us, you will be sent a confirmation email once it has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email, we did not receive your form. Confirmation emails will be sent out beginning on Monday, February 10. It is your responsibility to ensure that your form is received.
All entries must be received by 3:00 pm on February 28, 2020 in order to be included in the lottery drawing. Any forms submitted after 3:00 pm on February 28th will automatically be put on the waiting list after the drawing is complete. Late forms will be added to the bottom of the waiting list.
The Pre-K lottery drawing will take place Tuesday, March 3, 2020. One third of our seats are reserved for UWG Faculty/Staff/Students.The remaining seats are filled by drawing from names from the community at large. To be eligible for a Faculty/Staff/Student spot, the parent or legal guardian of the child must be a UWG employee or student. Employees and students must provide their 917 ID number on the registration form. Those families who are selected will be notified via email. The Pre-K will hold two, one hour registration sessions on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 to complete registration packets and submit student documents. Families may choose between an afternoon or an evening session.
After the initial drawing is complete, the remaining names will be randomly drawn to form the waiting list. Late entries received after 3:00 pm, February 28th will be added to the bottom of the waiting list. You will receive an email notifying you of your position on the list. At any time you may call to check the status of your position as it can change almost daily. Please do not be discouraged if you are not on the original student roster. The majority of people on the wait list do get in.
Please note that teacher requests will only be considered during the roster building process once the drawing is complete and the registration process begins. We are unable to honor all teacher requests. We will do our best to place your child in an environment where they will thrive. The state requires us to consider many criteria when building our class rosters and we must make those our first priority. Thank you for your understanding.
