Performance Excellence Certificate Program

The Performance Excellence Certificate Program is instructed through 50% face-to-face instruction and 50% online. The PEC addresses ten (10) core topics related to professionalism; participants must successfully complete a minimum of eight (8) of the ten (10) courses to earn a certificate. The program offers 8.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU's) which is equivalent to 80 hours worth of instruction. Depending on availability, participants may register for PEC courses individually ($99); however, receive a substantial discount for joining a semester-long PEC cohort ($495). Intended Participants:  This certificate course is designed for New Professionals, Career Changers, Advancing Employees, Managers-in-Training, Students, and all those interested in continual Professional Development.

Program Content and Structure:  This course is instructed through 50% face-to-face instruction and 50% online. Students will use CourseDen (UWG’s learning management system) to access course materials for the duration of the PEC Program. Students may be asked to review materials before and/or after attending a face-to-face meeting as part of their coursework. For the online portion of the course, students will work at your own pace while respecting assigned deadlines. The Performance Excellence Certificate Program will be instructed by several different UWG Faculty and Staff members who are experts in their field; in the interest of consistency, course communication will be managed by Tiffany Powers ( who will serve as a Teaching Assistant (TA).
