1. On the scanner, press the blue button under "Yes" for "Perform test scoring."
  2. Create an Answer Key on one of the forms. (Form No. 106173 or 95946) "
    • Under "Scoring & Printing Options" choose "Correct Answer", "Mark X" or "Total Only" for indicating incorrect answers. "
    • Bubble in the "Item Count" under "Answer Key Info." (Ex. "075" for 75 question test on 100-item form)
    Note: If you do not have multiple versions of a test, do not choose a Key ID.
  3. When viewing the message, "Feed test key", load the Answer key in the scanner. (follow the white arrows)
  4. Press "Start." Note: If the scanner does not send the forms to the other side of the scanner, you might need to push the "Press to Load" button on the top.
  5. Ignore the "Feed Optional Letter Grade key." message.
  6. Load the student exam sheets in the scanner tray. (Students need to fill in only their name.)
  7. Press "Start." (The scanner will put the correct answer or an "X" beside incorrect responses in the same column for two columns.)
    Optional steps:
    • If the "General Test Item Analysis" form is desired, bubble in a choice for "# incorrect" or "% incorrect" on the form.
    • Load the form in the scanner tray.
    • Press "Start."
  8. Press "Quit."
  9. Press the button for "Yes" when reminded that "results will be lost."
    Note : You can leave the scanner powered on.
