The mission of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction program is to provide high-quality professional P-12 and Reading Education preparation programs to pre-service and in-service teachers in the West Georgia service area.
The department's undergraduate, B.S. Ed., and initial certification programs seek to prepare teachers who epitomize the qualities reflected in the College of Education conceptual framework and who are fully competent in the classroom.
At the graduate level, programs develop master teachers who will be proactive instructional leaders in the schools.
At the Ed. S. level, programs develop instructional leaders and change agents.
